Unilever cuts over 1,000 of its brands in overhaul

Article Abstract:

Unilever PLC announced that it is downsizing more than 1,000 brands as it implements a major overhaul of its product lines. Unilever, the producer of Lipton tea and Dove cleansing goods, did not say which brands would be trimmed. The company said that the move is an effort to lower costs, increase sales, and simplifying its supply chain. Unilever is planning to concentrate on 400 of its 1,600 brands.
