The truth about No Gun Ri

Article Abstract:

There are allegations about war crimes at No Gun Ri, South Korea, in 1950, and Associated Press has reported accounts from former soldiers who say that they killed civilians at this location. The US Army is carrying out an investigation, after initially denying the claims. The US has supported investiahtions into killings in Rwanda and former Yugoslavia, but is concerned about the setting up of an International Criminal Court. A US investigation of events in South Korea will show that the US is prepred to abide by rules it wants other countries to abide by.

Kerrey's crusade: the Senate outlook

Article Abstract:

Winning Democratic control of the Senate in 1996 would be a triumph for Kerrey who raised $30 million for the party since 1994. Kerrey may accomplish his dual goals of reducing the differences in spending between Republicans and Democrats and recruiting competitive Democratic candidates.
