Dr. David Barker of Southhampton University has performed studies that if a pregnant women's health diet and lifestyle can determine the lifespan and future health of her child. Prenatal environment will determine the birth size and health of a child as he grows up.

The Catholic Church has published a new catechism, which attempts to modernize the Church's moral laws for a global society. Attitudes toward homosexuals have been softened, but abortion, birth control, euthanasia and prostitution are still considered sins.
