Hong Kong is beginning to question the benefits of allowing Tung Chee-hwa run the country after the realizing the possibility that Tung Chee-hwa may run the country as a business. Tung Chee-hwa is likely to treat the formulation of political and economic policies as business matters, which may be deterrent to the political stability and overall economy of the country.

Lee recently attacked Hong Kong governor Chris Patten's pro-democracy proposals for Hong Kong's reunification with China as foolish. Lee has a tendency to insult other politicians and businessmen to their face, but his views lend credibility to China's anti-democracy stance.
