Article Abstract:

Britain is one of only two members of the European Union that has not signed the Schengen agreement, which eliminated border controls between its members. Britain supposedly fears an influx of undesirables, though countries that have signed the agreement report no problems of that sort.

Fear of foreigners

Article Abstract:

The Tory's harsh new immigration law was justifiably stopped by the House of Lords. The UK should follow Canada's example of letting the employability of an applicant and the marketplace guide the process, not fearful quotas.
