Vari (Libice nad Cidlinou, Czech Republic), small garden and civil equipment manufacturer, expects its production volume and sales to increase by 10% in 2001 compared to 2000. The firm should export more than 40% of its production volume in 2001 compared to 35% in 2000. Vari increased its proceeds by 25% to CEK 186 mil in 2000 compared to 1999. The firm successfully co-operates with Honda (Japan). The majority of Vari's production is equipped with Honda engines and Honda ensures servicing for Vari products on the global market.

Jihlavan participates in Gripen production

Zetor Brno wants to re-start series production

The firm needs finances for the re-start of its series production. The state bank Konsolidacni banka (Czech Republic) should grant a credit of 700 mil Kc to Zetor in the middle of 2000. Zetor, which has had economic troubles since 1999, has more than 1,300 employees in 2000. The firm has debts of 200 mil Kc for wages to its employees in the middle of 2000.
