Article Abstract:

There are many factors which must be taken into account by a company which is considering acquiring an existing business. These include environmental law, both existing and that which may be enacted in the future. Issues can include contamination of land or water, liability for remediation and waste disposal. Such issues played a key role in deliberations when a management buyout was undertaken at Pilkington's Tiles.

They are usually small business run by entrepreneurs who can play the field to the benefit of their clients.
