The dynamic multilevel assignment problem as a stochastic extremal process

Article Abstract:

The multilevel assignment problem was assessed with the assumption that the utility components for each pairwise matching are stochastic. Such assumption leads to the development of a dynamic version of the multilevel stochastic assignment model in which both demand and supply evaluate alternatives based on stochastic extremal process. The model shows that a structure of a nested-logit model is assumed by the assignment probabilities.

Real time task scheduling allowing fuzzy due dates

Article Abstract:

A cost function called satisfaction function is employed to demonstrate the quality of scheduling in the study of real time scheduling enabling fuzzy due dates. It was found that the proposed algorithm consistently does better than the dichotomic search. Scheduling aims to determine the maximum assignment of priorities so that the satisfaction connected with due dates and execution times be lessened.
