The application of prediction capability and adaptive target control to the newspaper business
Article Abstract:
A technique for adapting targets, which renders the prediction method capable, while preserving prediction capability is analyzed. The details of the case study drawn from the newspaper business to illustrate the automatic allocation of newspapers are discussed.

Selective discount for supplier-buyer coordination using common replenishment epochs
Article Abstract:
The model of common replenishment epoch (CRE) is generalized for a selective discount policy to minimize the supplier's total cost. It is observed that offering multiple CRE and offering discounts to buyers selectively reduces the supplier's costs.
