System meltdown

Article Abstract:

The year 2004 was shocking for architectural education as two schools at the University of Cambridge and the University of Central England threatened closure, and the government decided to introduce a highly controversial fee system. The organization of architectural education needs reform, and the continuous debate between the practical and conceptual academic strands should be resolved to ease the burden of regulation on the system.

Venetian mind

Article Abstract:

Architect, Jeremy Till, is determined to start a revolution at Venice as curator of the British Council pavilion at the 2006 architecture biennale. The space allocated to Jeremy Till is made up of one large central room with smaller rooms opening off it and the focus would be the city of Sheffield.

Sporting chance

Article Abstract:

An unlikely collaboration of architects is working on a project for London's bid to host the 2012 Olympics. The central theme around which the whole project is based is that of creating a new park for east London.
