Sustainability: Greening the European city

Article Abstract:

"The Architectural Review" magazine held a conference called "Greening the European City" that was held at RIBA. Sir Nicholas Grimshaw, whose practice is among a select few involved with ISO14001 international environmental registration, discussed Environmentally Viable Architecture (EVA). Differences in the recycling attitudes of Germany and England were noted at the conference.

RIAS convention: a celebration of the art of architecture

Article Abstract:

The RIAS convention was held in Stirling and lectures included Neil Jackson's Steel Houses, and a presentation of Sir Michael Hopkins early housing projects. Terry Farrell presented his major Thames side buildings and Juha Leiviska, Carlsberg prize winner, presented an exposition of his past work.
