Spanish and Argentinian oil company Repsol YPF S.A. 's stock has risen 16% recently, at a time when the company is experiencing difficulties with supplies and costs . Speculation that the company is up for sale is driving the stock prices upwards. A deal with a mid-sized company remains a possibility for Repsol.

Statoil's privatization plan is aimed at boosting profit and global role
