Solectron lowers its profit estimate for third quarter

Solectron Corp. said that its profit forecast for the 2000 third-quarter might be lower-than-expected. The company is expecting to post earnings of 20 to 22 cents per share for the period. Solectron previously expected 21 cents to 22 cents per share.
