Siemens's sale lifts profit amid bribery flap

Unilever posts revenue lift after raising prices

Article Abstract:

Fourth-quarter net profit for UK consumer products firm Unilever Group dropped 65% compared to last year, when it received a gain from selling its European-based frozen foods division. However, sales rose after a price increase. Profit dropped to 721 mil euro, but revenue increased 1.7% to reach 9.89 bil euro.

Unilever net rises 37%, aided by emerging markets

Third-quarter net profit for UK consumer goods company Unilever Group rose 37% to $1.46 bil, due primarily to growth in emerging markets such as China and India, which helped offset declines in the Americas and in Europe. Revenue rose 1%.
