Article Abstract:

The oath of allegiance to the Queen which all UK MPs must swear is outdated and harmful because it makes some otherwise honourable MPs lie. The oath has become a political issue because of the case of four Sinn Fein MPs, who are not allowed to take their seats because they refuse to take the oath.

It would be a mistake to allow British Nuclear Fuels' Thermal Oxide Reprocessing Plant to start operating. While it seemed to be economically viable when it was first conceived in 1977, subsequent events have severely limited its usefulness.
