Security - and profits beside

Article Abstract:

Life insurance policies linked with investment funds are gaining wider acceptance in Switzerland despite the imposition of a new stamp tax. Factors such as the financial difficulties of state pension systems, tax benefits and the potential to earn long-term profits with a minimum of risks have spurred the growth of these life assurance policies. Switzerland requires the insurance policies should mature only after ten years and the money should be paid only after the insured reaches the age of 60. Policy holders must comply with these conditions so that no taxes would be imposed on their earnings.

This phenomenon is due to citizens and travelers' growing awareness of the handiness of this insurance in saving them from travel hassles. For instance, a deceptively advertised tourist package with substandard accommodations may be compensated for using legal insurance. It may also save travelers from the added cost and trouble of resolving lawsuits over vehicular accidents.
