Saudi opts for common use

The international airports of Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia are being equipped with common use terminal equipment from Videcom International in the UK. The contract includes the provision of a Videcom common use airport system, the company's departure control system and its baggage reconciliation security system. The contract, which includes equipment installation at 40 check-in desks at Riyadh and 56 at Jeddah, runs for five years.

Windhoff lifts into Israel

Article Abstract:

Ben Gurion International Airpport has bought two CMT 3.7-3.6 cargo lifting transporters from German manufacturer Windhoff. The equipment will be used primarily for handling cargo with the Boeing 737 and A310 aircraft. The loaders can accommodate two AHK containers and are capable of a payload of 3,700 kg. Its other features are automatic travelling speed reductiond during lifting operations and automatic height preselection.
