Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd of Sydney, Australia, the largest Coke bottler outside the US, announced plans to spin off its European business to current shareholders of the company. Upon shareholder approval, the plan will result in the creation of two major bottlers in the global Coke system, one each for Europe and Asia. A new company in Vienna, Austria, will manage the European operations.
