RWE's operating profit rose more than 35% in latest year

RWE Group AG announced that preliminary full-year operating profit increased more than 35%, in keeping with estimates, on cost cuts and record prices for petroleum. The firm said that acquisitions of VEW AG and Thames Water caused its results to show higher earnings.
