Putin asks ministers to make Gazprom unify share prices

Russian President, Vladimir Putin has asked a group of government ministers to devise a plan to reform the share structure of Gazprom, the state -controlled gas utility. At present share prices differ greatly in the United States and Russia with the American Depository receipts being more costly than Gazprom's domestic shares.

Gazprom posts net loss, citing Russian crisis

Article Abstract:

OAO Gazprom posted a 147.22 billion rubles (5.58 billion euros) loss for the 1998 year. The company was hurt by the Russian government's default on Treasury debt and by the devaluation of the ruble.

OEBRD loan for Gazprom is hung up
