Article Abstract:

The decline in inflation rate from 17% in 1992 to 6.9% in Feb 1993 hasshown some hope for India's economy despite the political instability. Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao's Congress is composed of the radical free-market Right who believes in economic liberalization, lowering tariffs and globalization while socialists believe in self-reliance. The communists of WestBengal as well as the Hindu-nationalists oppose international free trade. Thus,Rao must rally the fractious Congress into developing economic reforms to put India back on its feet.

Sollingen airbase has been tentatively renamed Baden Airpark, and its proximity to air, rail, road, and river transport could make it a distribution center.

Article Abstract:
