Parlour games

Article Abstract:

There are plans to license massage parlors in Sheffield, England, with medical checks of masseuses/prostitutes employed in the massage parlors. This is the first time such a move has been contemplated in Britain, though Germany and the Netherlands have similar policies. The idea is that prostitution will move to the streets if parlors are banned, and it is better to exercise some control over this activity. Some prostitutes are concerned about tax officials and others knowing about their occupation, though they prefer to work in massage parlours rather than on the streets.
