Tradepoint discusses Swiss Exchange deal

Article Abstract:

U.K.'s Tradepoint Financial Networks and Swiss Exchange have entered the phase of merger negotiations. Their combined forces will create a pan-European blue chips market. The conglomerate is likely to be supplemented by Deutsche Boerse's capacity, as the German exchange company is now almost certain to merge with the London Stock Exchange.

With bourse plan, U.K. looks to fortify the City
