Article Abstract:

Latinos are the key ethnic group in US politics, mainly due to their large numbers. Their turnout tends to be low, but they are concentrated in a number of locations such as Florida, California and New York, where representations in electoral colleges is above average. They have tended to vote Democratic, despite tending to work in the private sector and having strong family values. Whites are becoming a minority group and their reactions to immigration also affect politics.
