Moving the goods to Latin America

Article Abstract:

Exporters of goods to Latin America are advised to work with shippers experienced in negotiating the region's difficult trade routes. Problems include strikes and delays at customs, tariff structures that are always in flux, gyrating currency values, and widespread smuggling. These difficulties have forced some manufacturers to source from other regions, even if the cost of the goods may be more expensive.

The invisible giant

Article Abstract:

The US metal fabrication industry has exprerienced modest but steady growth amidst a general decline in machine-tool consumption. Metal fabricators continue to invest in capial equipment, to boost capacity, improve productivity and shield themselves from recession. The general conditions in the metal fabrication areas in Indiana, greater Los Angeles and New York city metropolitan area are discussed.
