Article Abstract:

Pawson Williams was the overall co-ordinating architect for the Natural History Museum's new Earth Galleries. The double height entrance foyer was remodelled with an entry sequence aimed at providing indoor queueing space with views through to the galleries. Some of the walls are finished in terracotta Armourcoat with the remaining walls painted white as a contrast. An escalator rises through the central atrium leading to the top floor.
