Article Abstract:

MD Helicopters (MDH) has delivered the first MD Explorer helicopter to India for the Tata Group. The aircraft will be the first twin-engined addition to the fleet of the group, which ordered an executive configured example for operation from its headquarters in Mumbai. Recently, MDH has also shipped two more Explorers, namely s/n 0072 and s/no 0073, to Japan's Asahi Shimbum Press and Aero Asahi Corp, respectively. Likewise, the London HEMS replaced its Eurocopter SA365N with a new Explorer.

R44 security sales

Article Abstract:

LRC Taxi Aero has acquired seven R44 helicopters from Robinson Helicopter Co. Sao Paolo, Brazil-based LRC will use the four-seater helicopters to provide 24-hour security services for Sao Paolo's banks. The helicopters, which will be equipped with global positioning systems, will also be used to provide help in the capture of bank robbers, if necessary. LRC intends to deploy at least two of the R44 helicopters in the air at any one time.

The honour for the first sale of an AgustaWestland helicopter

Article Abstract:

AgustaWestland delivered its first aircraft to Sloane Helicopters, which signed up for the RIS Group. Sloane has sold its A119 Koala to MW Sport, scheduled for delivery in Mar 2001. The second helicopter, which was delivered to Linfox of Australia, was exhibited at the Farnborough Air Show in the UK. Currently, AgustaWestland has 15 firm orders for the A119 in Austria, Brazil, Venezuela, the UK and the US.
