Learn from Lanju

Article Abstract:

The absorption of the state-owned Bailan by the profitable Baiju has not been very successful. The joint corporation, which is called Lanju, had hoped to make profits by increasing the variety of its products and this plan has not been effective. Product introductions have not found an enthusiastic response and the company's increase in profits is a reflection of the sale of real property. Many employees are having to be paid even though there is no work. The money earned from sale of land is likely to spent in repaying debts.
