Latin temperament and business logic

Article Abstract:

Violy McCausland is one of Wall Street's leading experts on Latin America. McCausland, president and founder of consultancy firm Violy, Byorum and Partners, is cautiously optimistic about the region's prospects, believing that 1999 is going to be a year of recuperation. The undervaluation of Latin American companies, combined with the continued good capitalization of US firms, is likely to result in more mergers and acquisitions, with important areas being telecommunications, entertainment and leisure, and private healthcare.
