The trial of Abu Bakar Bashir, the approving authority behind the Oct 12, 2002 Bali bombings is evaluated. The weaknesses of the investigations and the Indonesian legal system are also discussed. The only way to curb terrorist activities is to severely punish the materminds behind them.
