Article Abstract:

Islamic extremists have made Jihad, or Holy War, a way of life and the center of foreign and military policies. This enables the country to impose Islamic law on every aspect of political and social life. Sudanese Christians, however, are struggling to stop suppression of their communities.

The military junta running Sudan is now attempting to impose Islamic law there despite the fact that almost one-third of its people are not Muslims. The country's National Islamic Front is behind the move and is seeking support from other Muslim nations.
