Junk mail problems exist, though police in Amsterdam have turned this downside into an upside using spamming techniques to make stolen phones worthless.

The company, a member of the debt-laden Bakrie Group, was originally established as a provider of fixed-cellular telephone service. However, the low number of subscribers forced Ratelindo to look for other uses for equipment that are already in place. The answer came in the form of HomeNetPlus, a cable modem that offers Internet access of as much as 20 megabits per second.
