IMF chided for gloomy forecast

Article Abstract:

The International Monetary Fund issued a report that the European Central Bank would be unable to fulfill its new role as the overseer of the entire banking sector of Europe. This report also stated that Europe's regulatory bodies will be unable to handle the disarray that will result from the inabilities of the European Central Bank. This report angered senior economists.

The second home market is growing throughout Europe. The cold weather causes people to purchase homes in regions with warm climates. The fastest growing demographic group is 45- to 65-year olds. This group has one home, has grown children and has surplus income to spend on something more permanent than a vacation.
