Coordination mechanisms between the producer and the supplier within a supply chain are analyzed. Coordination for a make to order production setting is achieved through the combined use of control-oriented and task-oriented type of instrument.

A fuzzy echelon approach for inventory management in supply chains

Article Abstract:

A methodology to define a supply chain (SC) inventory management policy, which is based on the concept of echedon stock and fuzzy set theory is presented. The methodology is applied on a three stage Sc so as to show the ease of implementation.

The impact of information enrichment on the Bullwhip effect in supply chains: a control engineering perspective

The beneficial impact of information sharing in multi-echelon supply chains is examined. A traditional supply chain and an information enriched supply chain are compared, and two types of replenishment rules are analyzed.
