Heuristics for multimode scheduling problems with dedicated resources

Article Abstract:

Heuristic algorithms were developed to address scheduling problems with multiple modes and dedicated resources resulting from production and project management. The algorithms, which were derived from a mode graph, are based on the iterative solution of subproblems. They involve determination of a viable assignment function and resolution of a sequencing problem through the use of a subgraph-derived sequencing procedure.
