H&M, Inditex profits rise in latest periods

Hennes and Mauritz AB of Sweden posted soaring net profit of 21 percent to 1.089 billion Swedish Kronor ($231.7 million) for 2005 although it expects sales to slow in March. Retail clothing archrival Inditex S.A. of Spain net profit for 2005 rose 26 percent to 803.2 million Euros ($964.6 million) from 638.5 million Euros last year.

Inditex's profit increases by 25 percent

Inditex S.A. of Spain posted a 25 percent increase in 2006 net profit to 1 billion Euros ($1.33 billion) from 803 million Euros last year. Revenues at the Zara chain clothing stores is due to the opening of new stores and strong demand.
