GM Europe to slash costs in blow to German workers

Article Abstract:

In an effort to recover from five straight years of losses, General Motors Europe is aiming to cut costs by $619.8 million by 2006. Though the auto maker will strive to reach its financial objectives without laying off workers, the company is looking at the possible elimination of as many as 12,000 jobs. Labor leaders suspect that the majority of layoffs will be aimed at the company's German operations.

Intershop offers revenue projection below pros' views

Article Abstract:

Intershop Communications AG forecasted that it would post lower-than-expected revenues for the 2000 year. The company is expecting to post between 140 million euros and 160 million euros in revenues for the year, compared to analysts' expectations of 180 million euros to 200 million euros.
