General ElectricEs massive investment in IndiaEs intellectual capital is saving the company millions of dollars. The history of GEEs gradually deepening involvement with the country is traced, from its beginnings as a seller of medical and power plant equipment to a now sprawling industry whose software and outsourcing services employ over 19,000 people. The challenges facing the company and its impact on the Indian market are also discussed.
