Article Abstract:
Leaders at the G-8 Summit in Gleneagles, Scotland have been diverted to the concern of terrorism after the London Terrorist bombings of the Tube on Thursday morning. In Europe many see a continuing risk with being allied with the United States in Middle East conflicts. Al-Qaeda has allegedly claimed responsibility for the bombings and threatened more violence against United States allies in Europe, particularly Denmark and Italy.

The United States is proposing that the Middle East become a free-trading bloc, uniting more than twelve countries to become it's seventh largest trade partner. It is hoped that economic success would dissuade terrorists and the United States would be seen as a friend rather than an enemy.

President George W. Bush is currently in the European Union urging leaders there to "place democratic reform at the heart" of every conversation with Vladimir Putin and Russia. President Bush is also advocating peace in the political landscape of the Middle East.
