The Mamie Nova brand will launch its Gourmand Leger line on 2 May 2000. This is a line of yogurt with fruit. These yogurts consist of 18% fruit, 50% more than for standard light yogurt, and real sugar, while other light products on the market use aspartame. These yogurts are sold in packs of two 150 gram pots and come in four flavours: raspberry, apricot, pineapple, and prune-and-cereal. The launch will be backed by in store events and tastings. According to Nielsen, the light yogurt with fruit market represented 114,000 tonnes in 1999, up 23% and up 20.5% in value.

Mamie Nova is getting ready to launch a line of Babar character-licensed chilled products for children. It comes in four varieties: fromage frais, yogurt with pulp, and chocolate and vanilla cream desserts. The recommended retail price ranges from FFr 12.95 to FFr 15.95 depending on the product. Mamie Nova is to benefit from Babar's popularity with children, (their second favourite character). Moreover, a long Babar film is expected in cinema theatres in April 1999, while a video is expected to be launched in autumn 1999. A new Babar series is to be broadcast on France 3. Babar surprises will be offered with each product, in order to appeal to children.
