Onduline has launched the No-Bruit sound insulation system. This is made up of composite materials which are impervious to air, and cuts the transmission of noise by making the wall totally air-proof. Further sound-proofing is ensured by a layer of variable density polyurethane foam. The surface to be decorated is made up of a nonwoven polyester cellulose. The product is sold in a roll which is 7.50m long and 0.49 wide, and is applied to the wall in the same way as wallpaper, although it requires a stronger adhesive.

Carrefour is getting ready to launch Chaudfontaine, 'The Absolute Water', a Belgian spa mineral water with a low total mineral content of 385 mg per litre. This mineral water will be priced at about FFR 3.95 for a 1.5-litre polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle. Its launch will be backed by a promotion in the form of a reduction: a FFr 3 reimbursement for each purchase of a six-bottle pack.

The Carrefour retail group's Carrefour Millenium 3 is a mutual fund which is available for a minimum subscription of FFr 656. It can offer 7% interest per year if the Eurostoxx index drops up to 15% as of 4 April 2002. If there is a decrease of between 20% and 25.76%, there will be no yield to maturity.
