FRANCE: FROMAGERIE DE BANON'S GOALS

Article Abstract:

The Fromagerie de Banon, which makes a turnover of FFr 15mn, is placing a priority on quality. It has undertaken a FFr 5mn investment program over two years, particularly for production inspection and the use of the HACCP (hazard analysis and critical control point) process. It has also undertaken procedures to obtain AOC Banon certification. The Fromagerie de Banon has a line of 12 cheese, all made from goat's milk from the Haute Provence departement. Banon cheeses, popular at the regional level are leaving the regional area through Monoprix's 'La France a du Talent' brand for regional products. According to the Fromagerie de Banon, half of its products have already resulted in favorable opinions from Monoprix shoppers.

FRANCE: MONT D'OR OBTAINS THE GRAND PRIZE

Article Abstract:

The Monop Show 2000 (Monoprix group) has awarded the grand prize for innovation in the cheese department to Mont d'or Chaud from the Fromagerie des Monts de Joux. This price is for the presentation and packaging of this traditional product: 'ready to cook' packaging which resembles the cheese, and a miniature bottle of Arbois wine which is an essential ingredient for this recipe.

FRANCE: GRAND PRIZE FOR LAITERIE ST MALO

Article Abstract:

Monop Show 2000 (Monoprix group) has awarded the innovation grand prize for the chilled dairy products section to the Laiterie de St Malo for its fromages frais with mint. This fromages frais contains natural mint extract, and was also awarded the Isogone prize for innovation by the Brittany Chambre of Commerce.
