FRANCE: CASH CONVERTERS FRANCE IN BAD REPAIR

Article Abstract:

Cash Converters France, the leading player in sales and purchases of secondhand goods dedicated to the general public in France, is expected to go bust after the Australian group withdrawn its master franchise from France. In spite of strong entry fees worth FFr 400,000 and royalties worth 8,500 to 30,000 per month, Cash Converters France records a FFr 70mn deficit. French franchisees are wondering about this situation, but the group's boss, John Davidson who imported the concept to France, cannot be reached in Australia where he has been since mid-June 2000.
