Article Abstract:
Grand Fermage is innovating and offering a line of chilled sauces made with butter (containing a minimum of 35% butter). There are three varieties: Sauce Beurre Blanc, Sauce Hollandaise and Sauce Bernaise. These sauces are priced at about FFr 9.90 each. This launch will be backed by a promotional operation in the form of couponning, immediate reduction coupons and signs on shelves. With this new product, Grand Fermage expects to compete with chilled sauces made with oil. This is also a way for the company to ensure an outlet on the buoyant chilled sauce segment, up 30% at nearly 1,500 tonnes.
