Axel Springer to give up its 10% of AOL Germany

Germany's Axel Springer Verlag AG will sell its 10% interest in AOL Germany and Bertelsmann AG will sell its 50% interest in Sports 1, the online sports site owned by Axel Springer. Industry analysts have said that both companies, which have joined together in various Internet ventures and start-ups, are determined to create separate online strategies.
