Ergodicity and analysis of the process describing the system state in polling systems with two queues
Article Abstract:
A stochastic solution to a polling system problem wherein a single server serves two queues efficiently is presented. Instead of traditional approach of serving one queue completely and then moving over to the next queue, the suggested polling system proposes that the server should attend to some tasks of the customer in first queue and shift to some tasks of the customer in other queue.
