Educating future workers well is crucial to every nation's future global competitiveness. However, a survey of math achievement scores shows that America ranks only 28th. The 6th-ranked Czechs spend only a third per pupil as the US; teaching methods are more crucial than education spending.

Article Abstract:

Clinton has proposed a program that would allow college students to pay off loans through community service. The program has promise in easing the financial burdens of college, although it will reach only 2% of students who rely on financial aid.
