State-owned DONG is keen on buying NESA, the biggest electricity company in Denmark, according to Borsen, the Danish finance daily, as a result of the fundamental structural changes anticipated in the wake of the Right-wing election victory in the country. The government has announced that it aims to privatise DONG but this will take place in four years' time.

Dansk Olie og Naturgas (DONG), the state-owned Danish oil and gas company, will increase its its stake in Danop, the offshore operator, to 100% from 50%. So far, Danish industries have owned 50% of Danop through the joint venture Denerco, but Denerco will from now on concentrate on oil prospecting and acquisitions.

State-owned Danish oil and gas company Dong and Denerco Oil, owned by several Danish companies, have increased their shares of the Danish oil field Siri. Both companies have acquired 3.6% of Phillips Petroleum's share. After the acquisition Dong owns 23.6% of the Siri license, while Denerco Oil owns 11.1%.
