The salient features of the equipments installed on Engey, the fishing vessel belonging to Iceland based HB-Grandi, are described. Optimar Iceland and its group companies have supplied most of the equipment. The fish handling and refrigeration devices are designed to help the vessel handle large quantities of fish.

The Oceanor, Norway has developed an optical sensor for the continuous time monitoring of water quality for fisheries research. The Optisens, the company says is the first water quality monitor to transmit and detect three wavelengths of light simultaneously.
