DENMARK: SCAN-HIDE TO INVEST IN TANNERY

Scan-Hide is to invest DKr50mn (US$6mn) to set up a tannery of its own in order to secure the export of Danish hides. Lorenz Hansen, head of meat giant Danish Crown's beef division, says by making its hides ready for the international tannery and leather industry Scan-Hide will make sure that the products are not subjected to veterinary authorities regulations regarding food products. Scan-Hide handles up to one million hides a year and has a turnover of around DKr300mn.

DENMARK: DANGRONT IN AN ALLIANCE WITH KRAFT

Danish Dangront Products and Swedish horse feed producer Krafft have entered into an alliance. Dangront Speciality Feeds is a horse feed producer and aims to grow in Germany, England, Sweden and Norway. Under the alliance, Dangront will get access to the Swedish market and it will import Krafft's feeds to Denmark.

DENMARK: STEFF-HOULBERG AND SPIRA TO COOPERATE
